We build the layers. You live the life.

Onyon builds persistent private memory for privacy-first AI agents. We create our own apps, starting with Zelo, and envision that memory accompanying a person across assistants, messaging and voice.

01 / Our mission

Persistent private memory
for personal AI agents.

We want an agent to keep useful personal context over time, while the person stays in control. Our own apps are the starting point. Connections across assistants and everyday channels are the longer-term vision.

02 / Our story

Everyone is someone’s memory.

Onyon takes its name from the onion, inspired by Alan Turing’s image of the mind in layers.

In 1950, he asked what might remain as those layers are peeled away.

We build layers of memory and privacy around a life that remains yours.

Conversations, habits and shared moments give life its context. We are building Onyon so personal AI can carry useful context forward, with privacy at its foundation.

Three rings. A person at the center. Our mark reflects the memory and privacy we build around a life that remains yours.

03 / Our position

Personal AI that remembers,
stays yours, and does the work.

Responsible AI

Make the limits visible.

UNDERSTAND

Explain the context

Show what information informs a response and make the underlying sources available where supported.

REVIEW

Keep people in control

Allow records to be inspected and corrected. Define where human review belongs in the workflow.

EVALUATE

Match the use case

Assess accuracy, failure modes and escalation needs against the intended application.

For Zelo, a companion supports access to pet-care context; it does not replace veterinary judgment.

04 / How we work

A few things we hold onto.

One domain at a time.

We are developing Zelo first, applying a broader memory foundation to a concrete part of everyday life.

Memory you can read

Design a record that a person can understand, inspect and correct over time.

Preserve the source

Care instructions and recorded dates should remain connected to their source and professional context.

You confirm

Keep human review in the loop when information is read from a document or connected from another service.

Your data works only for you

What a companion learns from your data is used for you and no one else. We don’t sell your data or train models on it.

We publish the gaps

We only claim what we can point to in our code, and we say what isn’t true yet.

What is still important
to understand

Onyon’s vision is persistent private memory for personal agents. Zelo is our first application, in development. Bloom and connections to other assistants and channels are planned steps toward that broader foundation.
